Borden Community Centre

The community centre is available for public and private events. The Hall has a stage area with curtains, tables, chairs, coat check, and a full kitchen including gas ovens, grille and range, as well as a hot table. For booking information contact the Village Office.

 

A basement room is also available for rental separately from the hall, with plenty of space.

 

The Borden Community Centre Preservation Committee is hard at work making sure our community centre remains an integral part of our community events for years to come.

 

Bowling Alley

 

There is 2 lane Bowling Alley in the basement of the community centre. Action Bowl is maintained by the Village. The Village employs an operator to take care of day to day operations at the Bowling Alley.

 

Action Bowl supports League and Recreational Bowling. Contact the bowling alley operator or the Village for information on how to book the bowling alley for birthday parties & more!

 

The bowling alley boasts two recently refinished lanes, computerized scoring, seating areas, viewing area, and a concession.

Senior's Room/Friendship Centre

The Borden Library is open three days a week.

Tuesdays: 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Wednesdays: 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Fridays: 1:30 pm. - 4:30 p.m.

 

Moms & Tots: Wednesdays at 2 p.m.

 

Internet: The Library has two computers available for use, both have highspeed internet access.

Sports & Recreation Grounds

Ball fields, skating rink, canteen and covered multipurose building, etc. All located on the east end of the Village off 2nd Ave. & Heritage Street. The Borden Parks & Recreation Board is fundraising to revitalize the sports grounds and a new walking trail is currently under construction in partnership with the Borden Friendship Club. Stay tuned for more information.

 

Playground

 

There is a playground on the grounds of the Borden School. Young children must be supervised on the equipment.
