Borden Dance Club

The Borden Dance Club offers a variety of dance classes for children and youth, providing opportunities to learn, grow, and express creativity in a supportive community setting. Programs are available for preschoolers through Grade 12, with classes designed for both beginners and experienced dancers.

Classes Offered

  • Tiny Tots (ages 3–5) – Ballet and movement for beginners  

  • Acro

  • Contemporary

  • Tap

  • Ballet

  • Lyrical (must be 14 years of age and enrolled in a ballet class)

  • Jazz

  • Hip Hop

  • Musical Theatre

Recitals

  • Christmas Recital – Held in November at the Borden Community Centre

  • Spring Recital – Takes place in late April or early May

Competitions

The club typically participates in two dance competitions per year, although the number may vary depending on the season.

Practice Location & Schedule

  • Location: Borden Community Centre, 303 1st Avenue, Borden

  • Registration: Early September

  • Season: Mid-September through May

Practice Times

  • Mondays & Tuesdays: 3:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

  • Fridays: Begin after Christmas and are reserved for solos, duets, and trios
    (Musical Theatre is included as part of regular class offerings this year.)
