Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve

The Redberry Lake Biosphere Reserve is an internationally recognized natural area centered on Redberry Lake, with a mandate to protect native species, landscapes, and ecosystems within the watershed.

Designated a Migratory Bird Sanctuary in 1915, the lake is an important nesting area for wildlife, including American Pelicans. In 2000, the entire Redberry Lake Watershed received UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve status, acknowledging its ecological, cultural, and scientific significance.

Redberry Regional Park

Located along the shores of Redberry Lake, Redberry Regional Park provides the recreational gateway to the biosphere area. The park offers a relaxed, family-friendly setting where visitors can enjoy nature while respecting the protected landscape.

Location & Driving Directions

Both the Biosphere Reserve and Regional Park are located approximately 11 km east of Hafford

Approximate drive time from Borden: 45–55 minutes, depending on route and road conditions.
