Hours of Operation

PLEASE NOTE: The landfill is closed when temperatures reach −25°C for staff safety.

Summer (April 1 – October 1)

  • Wednesday: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

  • Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Winter (October 2 – March 31)

  • Saturday: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.


Village of Borden Notice

The Village of Borden is not a member of the Yellowbend Transfer Station.
Garbage, recycling, and compost services within Village limits are provided through Loraas Disposal Services.

Village residents may use the Carload Transfer Station as non-ratepayers, subject to applicable fees.

  • Cash & Cheque only

  • Receipts are available upon request

  • No accounts or invoicing available on site


Ratepayer Verification

RM ratepayer rates apply only with valid proof of ratepayer status.
If proof is not provided, non-ratepayer rates will apply.


Site Rules & Safety

  • All loads are subject to inspection by the site attendant

  • Materials must be sorted prior to arrival

  • Mixed loads may be charged at the highest applicable rate

  • Follow all instructions from the site attendant

  • Children and pets must remain in vehicles

  • Scavenging is prohibited

  • Smoking is prohibited on site

  • Unsecured loads may be refused

Facility will accept:

  • up to 500L of oil (engine oil must be in original containers)
  • 10 large and 20 regular/small filters
  • containers up to 500L in size (if pails are empty, please remove lids before dropping off)
  • up to 100L of antifreeze

Please do not mix fluids. If bringing in a mixed load, a waste charge may be applicable.

Location of Yellowbend Transfer Station

From Borden:
Travel west 6.4 km on Highway 16, turn north, then travel approximately 3 km on Hamp Road.

From Radisson:
Travel east 2.8 km on the Radisson grid road, turn south, then travel approximately 0.8 km on Hamp Road.
