SHA Nurse Practitioner (NP) services offered at this location are free for Saskatchewan insured residents with a valid health card.
Primary Health Care NP services include:
· diagnose and treat illness
· order and interpret diagnostic test ( e.g. lab, Xray, CT and MRI)
· prescribe medication
· perform medical procedures
· arrange referrals to a specialist when required
· manage chronic disease (e.g. diabetes, COPD)
· manage mental illness
· routine screening (e.g. cancers, kidney disease, diabetes)
· women's health (e.g. prenatal care, PAPS)
· works collaboratively with other health care providers to support the health needs of their patients
To ensure a strong patient-provider relationship and continuity of care, the NP maintains a panel of patients and commits providing care to this group of individuals.
The NP sees patients on their panel through booked appointments (i.e., does not see walk-ins) and maintains two appointment slots a day for same day/urgent concerns.
Please contact the clinic at 306-997-3110 to inquire about being added to the NP’s panel.
