Doukhobor Dugout House
The Doukhobor Dugout House is a distinctive heritage and archaeological site that preserves the story of the Saskatchewan Doukhobors, a pacifist communal society that once thrived in the area. At its peak, more than 300 people lived in homes dug into the sides of the ravine, creating one of the most unique settlements in the province.
Visitors can explore a 436-foot dugout house that was once home to nine families, along with a series of interpretive sites that bring Doukhobor life, beliefs, and traditions to life.
